Inanna Moon Gallery
Design Concept
Embarking on a grand-scale design project amidst the unprecedented challenges of the early 2020 pandemic was a true test of creativity and resilience. I led the furniture design and project management for Woodpecker’s collaboration with Inanna Moon, a three-floor gallery located on 100th Street in Erbil, Iraq.
The project involved designing intricate furniture layouts, wall decor, and detailed execution drawings, while overseeing the entire manufacturing process in Lebanon for a year. Such challenging circumstances demanded a high degree of precision, adaptability, and unwavering determination to ensure the project’s completion and that each piece met the highest standards of craftsmanship.
The journey culminated in Erbil, where we were warmly welcomed by the local community. Collaborating with a skilled team of Woodpecker’s carpenters and workers, I oversaw the installation, seamlessly integrating Inanna Moon’s lighting fixtures with the custom-designed furniture and decor. Despite global challenges, our collective efforts transformed the space into a harmonious and inspiring environment.
